What is your tracking gap costing you?
About 1 in 4 shoppers block the pixel that tells Meta and Google a sale happened. Those people still buy from you. The platforms just never hear about it, so they optimise toward the buyers they can see and your reported ROAS reads lower than your ads actually performed.

About 1 in 4 shoppers now use a browser or extension that stops tracking pixels. Stores with mostly iOS and Safari traffic sit higher. Move this to whatever you believe about your own traffic.

At 25% blocked, your reported ROAS is understating your ads by about 33%. Meta and Google optimise on the number they can see, not the real one.
How this is calculated, and what it is not. If a share of your conversions never reaches a platform, the revenue it reports is that much lower than what your ads actually produced, so the estimate here is simply your reported revenue divided by the share that does get through. It is arithmetic on the numbers you entered, not a measurement of your store and not a promise about results. Datacrow shows you the real figure from your own orders within a day of installing, which is the only number worth acting on.
Questions
- Where does the 1 in 4 figure come from?
- It is the widely reported share of shoppers using a browser or extension that blocks tracking pixels, led by Safari's protections and mainstream ad blockers. Your own share depends on your traffic mix, which is why the calculator lets you change it.
- Does fixing tracking increase my revenue?
- Two separate things happen. Your reporting gets accurate, which changes which campaigns you keep and kill. And the ad platforms receive more conversion signal, which is what they optimise on. Datacrow makes no claim about the size of the second effect, because that depends on your account and we would rather you measure it than take our word for it.
- How do I check this against my own store for free?
- Compare last month's Shopify order count against the purchase events Meta reports for the same window. Compare event counts, never attributed conversions. Subscription renewals, POS and wholesale orders never fire a browser pixel, so subtract those first. The remaining gap is the problem.
- What does Datacrow do about it?
- It reports every Shopify order to Meta, GA4, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest and Klaviyo from Datacrow's servers, where blockers cannot reach. One install, all six destinations on every plan. Start on Flex at $0 a month plus $0.25 per tracked order, or try Standard or Pro free for 30 days.
